In a time where manufacturers are charging $900 for skates and $350 for sticks it amazes me that no one has put together a definitive book to teach how to use this high tech gear. Golf unlike hockey has a multitude of info on the fundamental basics and the physics of the swing. When will hockey get out of the dark ages and begin teaching fundamental principles and theories
Hockey teaching is still about faster, stronger, quicker with very little care on correct. It is time for technical teaching to evolve, with slow motion video with a focus on balance so we can keep our players safe, successful and allow for skills to evolve with the equipment. When this does happen we will see a huge resurgence in top end talent and what a beautiful game it will be.
